Tony is an exceptional HR professional with over 30 years’ experience, the majority at Director level,  across a variety of sectors.

Tony began his professional career in the 1990s working as an industrial relations specialist in the banking and financial services sector. He moved into the public service as an Employee Relations Manager for the country’s largest health service employer, before his first HR Director appointment in 2000. He has subsequently held HR Director positions in Teagasc, the national food and agricultural development authority, and in Trinity College Dublin.

Prior to establishing Tony McMahon HR Solutions, Tony worked for 4 years as Associate Director HR and EDI with the Irish Universities Association (IUA).

In addition to a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm.) primary degree, Tony has a Master of Business Studies (MBS), specialising in Strategic HRM from UCD, along with professional diploma qualifications in Mediation (from TU Dublin), and Arbitration (from UCD). He is also a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD.

Tony’s areas of expertise include strategic HRM, Employee Relations and Dispute Resolution, and Equality & Inclusion.
